Pictures of Fernberg Sun (opposite) supplied by Richard Mansbridge

This year, in the Auditorium of the Botanic Gardens at Mt. Coot-tha in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, our Annual Show was opened by His Excellency, the Governor of Queensland, Maj-Gen. Peter Arnison AC CVO who, with his wife, was presented with the plant named after Fernberg Park, the Governor's residence.  The plant was previously named by the Governor.

The presentation bloom was "Fernberg Sun" which was hybridised and
grown by our member from the Buderim Branch, Richard Mansbridge.  It was bred from Rosalind x Harvest Moon.

The Governor and Mrs Arnison joined the President and Members for
an official luncheon following the ceremony.

Unfortunately, government protocol required no photos to be taken.  We are trying to get permission for a couple of un-official pictures to be shown.

A new trader display, this year, was very attractive
