Our Society has many Hibiscus display days and our Annual Show is our biggest. This year we released our Centenary of Federation bloom for the 100 years anniversary of Federation. Patrons Colin and Bev Campbell together with Professor Ross Fitzgerald, Chairman of the Centenary of Federation Queensland Committee attended.  So also did David Gibson from Newstead House, one of our other promotion venues.

We do not have flower competitions.  However, our bloom display, together with complementary displays of associated products and, this year, a display of ornamental windmills (of historical significance) and traditional bark paintings on contemporary themes made an excellent display.  The supply of plants from Hibiscus Paradise Nursery included many new U.S.A. varieties and the Centenary of Federation ones came from Phil Barry, its hybridizer.
